Hello, please check your friend's list: PROFILE > FRIENDS AND FOES > RECEIVED REQUEST. This is to check whether you have anybody waiting to be your friend. If you want to be their friend press the "+" button. This forum will not inform you if there is any new friend request. You have to check it from time to time.

Also, if you cannot send a VM to your friend's profile that's because they have not yet allow anybody to VM them. Can everybody please adjust who can send you VM by going to PROFILE > PREFERENCES > ALLOW VISITOR MESSAGES ON MY PROFILE> ANYONE.
